Leavely free trial FAQ

The Leavely free trial lasts at least 14 days. You can set up your workspace, invite employees, configure leave policies, and test the full approval workflow before deciding whether to subscribe.

No. You can start a Leavely trial without entering card details. Payment information is only needed if you choose to subscribe after the trial.

Every core Leavely feature is included during the trial: leave requests, one-click approvals, shared calendar, automatic balances, custom leave types, sickness tracking, TOIL, Bradford Factor monitoring, employee records, reports, and team invitations.

Yes. You can invite employees and managers during the trial so they can submit requests, approve leave, and check the team calendar in a realistic workspace.

Yes. You can move employee details from your existing spreadsheet into Leavely, then set leave allowances and working patterns so balances are ready for real requests.

If you subscribe, your workspace continues without interruption. If you do not subscribe, the workspace moves to read-only mode, so your data stays available but the team cannot keep submitting or approving leave until billing is active.

No. Leavely cannot charge you automatically unless you add billing details and choose to subscribe. There are no surprise trial charges.

After the free trial, Leavely costs £8 per active user per month. The complete Standard toolkit is included, with no setup fees or hidden charges.

That is what the free trial is for. Use Leavely free with no card, and if it is not right, simply do not subscribe. New subscriptions are on a 12-month term, billed monthly, so there is no large upfront payment, and you can export your data any time. Customers who subscribed before 23 September 2026 keep their current terms.

Yes. Your employees, leave policies, balances, requests, approvals, and reports are preserved. If your trial has ended, subscribing later restores active use without needing to rebuild the workspace.
